International. Mitsubishi Electric reported that it has developed a new integrated controls solution for commercial HVAC applications.
The three new controllers are known as SmartME Zone Controller (photo), AdvancedHVAC Input/Output Controller and EB-50GU-A Central Controller, which work together as a seamless end-to-end system to support enhanced functions. Functionality includes double set-point and backspace, maintenance data storage and energy management control.
The SmartME Zone Controller can control up to 16 indoor units in a single zone, includes temperature and humidity sensors and an energy-saving setup. The AdvancedHVAC Input/Output Controller features physical inputs and outputs that can be used for reading sensors and powering relays in real time. Eight digital or analog inputs and six digital outputs enable complex control applications.
The EB-50GU-A Central Controller is the latest advancement in centralized Web-based control, for the operation of up to 50 individual indoor units, in groups or in a batch operation.
"This new integrated package of commercial controls, which can also operate individually, allows users to monitor and operate VRF City Multi ® zoning systems and third-party equipment through the Mitsubishi Electric Network [M-NET]," said Mike Smith, senior marketing director at Mitsubishi Electric.
