United States. Mars, a company specializing in commercial and residential HVAC/R engines, announced the strategic acquisition of Heat Controller, Inc., a supplier of HVAC/R equipment.
As a result of the acquisition, Mars will become the most comprehensive supplier of spare HVAC/R and equipment to the industry. The Mars engines and components division will continue to operate from Hauppauge, New York, and the Controller Heat equipment division will remain in Jackson, Michigan.
According to Edward Chernoff, president and CEO of Mars, the acquisition represents the company's commitment to anticipating market needs and actively investing in creating added value for the customer. "Mars knows about engines and components. Heat Controller knows about equipment. Partnership is a natural step."
Even though the two business divisions will operate independently under the Mars Company entity, Chernoff says the acquisition lends itself to unlimited opportunities for future collaboration and growth.
