International. DuPont, in cooperation with PKO Bank Polski, the Union of Polish Architects (SARP), the Polish Green Construction Council and Architizer.com, announced the seventh edition of the international architecture competition "Changing the Face", which will focus on an architectural project in Poland, the Rotunda building, in Warsaw.
With this competition they seek that those interested present innovative designs that give a new life to the bank building with an emphasis on sustainability. The contest has as a novelty for this edition that the winning design will be executed.
Beyond maintaining the historic qualities of the Rotunda building, it is proposed that the revitalization be certified with two of the three sustainable systems - LEED, BREAM or DGNB.
An additional condition established by the organizers is the use of at least three DuPont materials within the construction: Corian, SentryGlas, Tyvek, Teflon and Plantex.
The prizes are as follows:
- Prize endowment: US$62,000.
- First prize US$15,500 + construction of the project.
