United States. Ashrae announced that during its "Moving Toward Sustainability" conference to be held on October 29 and 30 in Gaithersburg, Maryland, it will present new proposals on alternative refrigerants with low global warming potential (GWP).
During the meeting, organized with NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) will be presented the documents of the world's leading experts on alternative refrigerants and technologies, the environmental effects of new refrigerants, refrigerant performance considerations and natural refrigerants.
Several of the papers will address topics such as the new generation of low fluorochemical GWP, including "Alternatives to High GWP HFC Refrigerants" for air conditioning, heating and cooling applications, chillers and small residential and commercial units, and "Alternative GWP Refrigerant Evaluation Program with Low AHRI", among others.
