Venezuela. The National Government will bet on the local production of industrial refrigeration equipment with the installation of a plant that expects to begin operations by 2013.
The plant is called Yarai Yarai and is currently in the test phase. It is expected that about 50 industrial refrigeration units of two modalities will be produced there: 6x6 and 6x7 meters, according to the Venezuelan News Agency.
The investment of this space located in the Agustín Rivero industrial zone of San Felipe, Yaracuy state, is about US$5.4 million. The plant had the technological support of Argentina, thanks to the bilateral agreement that exists between both nations. In parallel, it was confirmed that work is also being done in two other factories of the same type.
When fully operational, the new factory will generate 168 indirect and 56 direct jobs.
