Panama. The Panamanian Association of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, Apayre, reported that on August 6, Roberto Henríquez, Minister of the Presidency, presented to the National Assembly, the new Bill No. 502 on energy efficiency.
This project establishes the general guidelines of the national policy for the Rational and Efficient Use of Energy (UREE) in the national territory, whose primary purpose is to promote the supply and supply of energy to meet the needs of the country under criteria of economic efficiency, quality and reliability.
According to the project, the studies carried out demonstrate the feasibility of achieving electricity savings between 6% and 10% through measures without investment and a potential for savings between 27% and 40% through measures with investment.
