United States. In the framework of its 110th anniversary, celebrated on July 17, the manufacturer of air conditioning, air conditioning and refrigeration systems, Carrier, presented its book of memories Weathermakers to the world, by author Eric B. Schultz.
The company recounts in this publication its beginnings and trajectory since its founder Willis Carrier managed to make the project of air conditioning the enclosed spaces a reality.
"On July 17, 1902, Carrier, a young research engineer, with only one year away from Cornell University, finalized the design to stabilize moisture in the air, so that the dimensions of paper at the Sackett & Wilhelm lithography and printing company in Brooklyn, New York, would remain constant throughout the printing process. Since then, this innovation has been applied to everything from shopping malls to manufacturing facilities, from buses to businesses and from homes to hospitals, seeking to establish a comfortable environment," the official statement said.
Carrier launched a special website (www.WillisCarrier.com) in which it celebrates its anniversary and tells the full story of its founder.
