United States. In order to standardize the calculation of energy savings, the Department of Energy is developing voluntary procedures to assist state and local governments, industries and organizations.
Through the administrators of the Energy Efficiency Program, these protocols are being established by technical experts. Therefore, the department extended the invitation to all those belonging to the public sector, industry and training to participate in an online public examination on these new protocols. This in order to calculate the energy savings of programs related to energy efficiency.
Topics such as energy saving and lighting control, air conditioning and boilers and furnaces are part of the points to be evaluated in the new procedure. These protocols are part of the so-called Uniform Methods Project.
