United States. According to a study conducted by IBISWorld, the HVAC industry will show a marked recovery this year, with an increase in its profits of 8%, additionally, this trend is expected to continue at least until 2017.
During this period, the growth of the sector will be driven by the improvement in the residential construction market that has been recovering from the recession. Likewise, a benefit is also foreseen for the increase in renovations and modernizations of buildings.
Taking into account that the HVAC sector is directly related to the construction sector, it is not surprising that in recent years this industry was affected by the economic crisis that directly impacted this area and that this year shows signs of improvement.
In addition, maintenance work will also help improve the landscape of the HVAC sector; Andrea Alegría, an analyst at IBISWorld, explained that "the maintenance, supervision and repair of existing equipment represents a significant part of the revenue, offering the air conditioning industry a bit of stability amid the volatile construction markets of recent years."
