Mexico. Recently, the change session of the board of directors of the Ashrae chapter of that city was held in Monterrey, a meeting that had more than 80 attendees, partners and members of that society and general guests. The new president is Eng. Gerardo Sofanor Alarcón.
Initially, the outgoing president, Mr. Carlos Cavazos, delivered the balance of his management and activities that were presented during his term. The chapter today has 120 members, 18 new members; 10 monthly technical sessions and 2 special ones were held (ASHRAE inn and board change session). There were 16 external technical programs, two refrigeration programs and four social events.
During this meeting, a talk called "Values for competitiveness, a credit in the culture of Mexican companies" was also presented, by Eng. Juan Gerardo Garza Treviño.
Finally, the new president of the entity, who will be during the period 2012-2013, presented Mariza Jimenez as Vice President of Public Relations.
