The study reveals that of the 124 countries analyzed, half of them have increased the efficiency of their energy sector, however, the figure for non-coal energy is still less than 5% in 69 of those nations.
Similarly, there are 31 countries that continue to present inconveniences that allow to meet the basic energy needs of their population. Currently, there have been known efforts in Latin America to modify these figures; this is the region that uses renewable resources the most, led by Brazil.
