Aruba. Between October 27 and 29, the second version of the Green Energy Conference will be held in Aruba, a space that seeks to increase awareness about actions and positions in the daily use of sustainable energy tools.
The event will be attended by the Prince of the Netherlands, Willem Alexander, who will be in charge of inaugurating the meeting. In addition, the Commissioner of the European Union, Andris Piebalgs; Jan Willem Kelder and Jan Ebbing, Dutch TNO Institute in the Caribbean; Phil Ribbeck, CEO of Repsol, and Dr. Mitzi Montoya, from the University of Arizona, among other personalities.
During the meeting, the Dutch TNO Institute will sign a contract with Aruba for the opening of the House of Europe, a research center for the organization of seminars, courses and conferences, tests and certifications of environmental products.
Aruba is an island recognized for its contribution to the environment, since 20% of the energy used to produce water and electricity is generated by windmills, they also have sewage treatment plants for use in irrigation of fields or domestic work.
