
During an interview conducted by the colombian newspaper La República, the president of Schneider Electric for the Andean Region, Eduardo Hermanovich, expressed the satisfaction of working with companies such as Ecopetrol, Argos, Cementos Argos and Cemex, and assured that the company is interested in continuing to be the supplier of projects for these organizations.
Hermanovich reported that in 2009 the company "obtained profits of about US $ 74,880 thousand and this year we expect the figure to be around US $ 84,864 thousand", also confirmed that in 2010 investments in technology will amount to US $ 2 million and in exceptional resources it is expected to invest between US $ 30 and US $ 40 million.
Schneider Electric was the first company in the electricity sector in Colombia to receive the Environmental Green Seal, a recognition given by the Ministry of the Environment for the care of the environment in production processes.
