Latin America. In Paulina, near Sao Paulo, Brazil, is DuPont's new research and development center.In an area of 720 m2 are located two laboratories, one of them specialized in ballistic tests, and another in applications for the automotive and construction industry, where tests will be carried out for paints, coatings, polymers and paper.
In this center, the company will not only develop new technologies, but will also be used for the improvement of existing technologies. There will be carried out research of different businesses of the company such as fluoropolymers, advanced fibers, engineering polymers, industrial polymers, chemical solutions, nonwoven fibers and titanium dioxide, among others.
The new facilities will also focus on meeting the company's environmental objectives, which consist of the development of new sustainable products (between 2006 and 2015), in addition to the implementation of programs of this type in the company's operations.
