United States. New York State said it will provide free air conditioning systems for new Yorkers who lack income and are experiencing serious health problems.
To qualify for this system, the government asks that beneficiaries live in a family of four with an annual gross income of $49,500 and care for a person diagnosed with a chronic or acute medical condition, which is supported by a medical history of less than six months explaining that the help of air conditioning is necessary to prevent emergencies caused by heat.
This aid does not apply to families who already have an air conditioning system or who have received one from the state in the last 10 years.
