We need more spaces for training

When I was little I thought about when I would finish college to go to college, and in college I thought about graduating and working... now I think about what I can study to continue training and continue to grow professionally. And if I think so, how should HVAC/R industry professionals think?

We are in a sector of continuous evolution, new technologies and services that require to be updated and above all to have the necessary study to carry out complete installations and provide advice that helps end users to meet their needs. And although what I said sounded like a "drawer phrase", you have to be realistic, there is nothing worse than hiring someone to install or integrate a system and a few days or months have problems with the product because the professional did not have the necessary knowledge. I have spoken with several manufacturers about the importance of continuous training for technicians and installers and all agree that Latin America has this shortcoming and little is done to be certified in installation and maintenance processes. While there are institutes and associations that do, these are not found in most countries. However, although there are few courses that are given, it is important to be part of them to provide a better quality service. Our mission from ACR LATINOAMÉRICA is to bring them closer to the industry, present the new developments and through the REFRIAMÉRICAS Congress offer education to all commercial and industrial refrigeration professionals in the region in order to be aware of the news and demands of the sector. We would like to invite you to send us suggestions on topics that we can develop at the 2013 Congress. Remember to write to me [email protected]
