I was very pleased to see that this 2012 the AHR Expo exceeded the expectations of the organizers and that the numbers of exhibiting visitors were much better than those of years ago.
It was also very pleasant to see again so many professionals who support us in ACR LATIN AMERICA, and to know the advances that the industry presents, in order to be at the forefront and support the actions of the different governments aimed at caring for the environment and instructing end users in these practices.
On this occasion, and due to the latest information and comments I have received from the actors of the HVAC/ R sector and related industries, I would like to return to a topic that I mentioned last year: certifications.
Unfortunately in Latin America many of the certification processes that are carried out are done more to comply than by own conviction, however it is very pleasant to know that in some aspects and industries it is seeking to endorse processes or facilities to offer better services and products and of course contribute to ecology.
It should be noted that many Latin countries have the purpose of meeting the requirements of certifications and working for green and intelligent structures. Brazil, Mexico, Chile and Colombia are leading this situation in the region, but it is important that this is done conscientiously, with professional help and taking into account that it is not about getting recognition to be famous, but to be better.
I recently learned that in the electronic security industry some professionals are training to understand how their area affects and contributes to LEED certification; the HVAC and automation industry must do the same thing: participate in talks and workshops that help achieve it.
ACR LATINOAMÉRICA wants to accompany them in this process and support them with information and topics that are useful. We invite you to write to us [email protected] and tell us what you have done to improve the sector and how your professional processes are going, so that we can work hand in hand.
