Colombia. With more than 90 attendees, the second meeting of the Asociación de Gestores de Edificios Modernos - AGEM. was held in Medellín The participants agreed that the presentation, "Efficient energy in building automation", by Gloria Palacio, of Schneider Electric, had a very good structure and its approaches were important for the updating of managers and the rationalization of their activities.
In the same way, the professionals highlighted the work of AGEM and described it as a very good training proposal, since they assure that in this country the sector does not have many training spaces.
For Santiago Pemberthy, head of maintenance at the Coltejer Building in Medellín, "meetings like this are limited in the national industry. Efforts are really made, but there are not many places where in addition to training we can share with colleagues and learn from their experiences, and thus multiply knowledge."
Juan Esteban Alis, from Sodexho - Bancolombia, shares the above position by arguing that training spaces for managers in the country are few. "AGEM is attacking a latent need. The market requires sustainability and training aims to improve efficiency, which over time will have an impact on savings."
AGEM is in the process of becoming a virtual and face-to-face community aimed at the continuous training of those professionals who manage, administer, operate or are responsible for the maintenance of the new generation of buildings in the Andean Region.
