Colombia. With very fruitful commitments, the first meeting of the Asociación de Gestores de Edificios Modernos (AGEM) which was held this Tuesday, December 6, at the headquarters of the Latin Press Inc. publishing house in Medellín, Colombia, was successfully concluded.
The attending managers showed their interest in being part of a guild that will allow them to share with experts ideas, knowledge and daily concerns lived during the technological administration of a building, a place responsible for the safety and comfort of its visitors.
This first meeting was attended by: Jaime Gaviria, head of maintenance at the Univentas Shopping Center; Ricardo Tamayo, head of eafit's general services department; Iván Cartagena, general services of the Premium Plaza Shopping Center, Gustavo Sandoval, head of maintenance of the C.C. Premium Plaza; César Torres, from PSI, Jaime Mejía from ADT (Tyco) and Víctor Alarcón, executive director of ALAS (Latin American Security Association). Some of the conclusions left by this first meeting for the formation of AGEM are inclined towards the need for managers to train or advise themselves on the different issues that currently converge within the modernization of buildings. From now on, managers will initially define their primary needs, group their colleagues and from that moment AGEM will become the space for the improvement of the integration, professionalization and training of those involved.
