The city of Cancun will host the Sixteenth Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP16), as well as the Sixth Session of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the parties to the Kyoto Protocol (CMP6) from November 29 to December 10, 2010.
Within this framework, the Federal Government will organize the Climate Change Village, a space to promote dialogue and coexistence about the environment between non-governmental organizations, the private sector and society in general.
The Villa will open its doors from November 27 to December 12, 2010, will feature exhibitionson climate change, screening of environmental films, broadcast screens of COP16 and exhibition stands of leading companies in clean technologies, as well as various sponsors.
It will also have a stage for cultural events, artistic shows, among which the festival "Cantando por el Planeta" stands out, forums of expression for Civil Society Organizations and a series of conferences held by prominent personalities from all sectors.
All citizens, as well as the media, are invited to participate in this 16-day event, where more than 30 thousand people will be able to participate for free.
The address of the Climate Change Village is Boulevard Luis Donaldo Colosio, kilometer 7.5 of the Cancun-Chetumal Highway, Benito Juárez Cancun, Quintana Roo.
