Taking advantage of World Water Day, the director of the National Water Commission (Conagua) José Luis Luege, launched the 2030 Initiative program in the field of water, where up to one billion pesos will be invested, to recover all aquifers, rivers, lakes, underground mantles and treat all wastewater.
What is not known so far is that the expenses of the initiative will be divided, the water meters will also be modernized and changed to make the collection of this service more efficient, and it will be monitored that there are no clandestine taps.
In response to this initiative Marcelo Ebrard, head of the capital government, mentioned: "We want to involve citizens to increase the savings of the city or the reduction, the waste of water, the goal is to reduce one billion liters a day. If we all do what is right, we will achieve it. No matter how much we invest, if consumption is not reduced, waste, we will continue to have difficulties, if we make equipment, then we will guarantee the water supply"
