It's time for oil companies to take green stock. One of the largest producers of motor oil in the U.S., Valvoline has unveiled its new recycled NextGen motor oil. This oil is promoted with having more than 50 percent recycled oils acquired with existing resources, but with the same high quality of conventional oils.
Over time motor oils tend to get dirty, while additives are depleted with the degradation of chemicals. Thus, according to the company, to obtain recycled oil, old oils have to go through a process of several demanding stages. First, the impurities are removed and the resulting one is distilled to remove the water. After that, it is filtered to remove micro impurities and refined again to rebuild the optimal chemical properties to improve quality.
In addition, there are clear advantages of using this recycled product such as checking the depletion of natural resources, as well as reducing the overall environmental impact.
According to the company:
Now that we can make high-quality motor oil from used oil, it's time to recycle more than we have. Every year Americans use more than 3,000 liters of motor oil. We can conserve a lot of resources if we make and buy recycled oil.
