IULV-CA launches an information campaign against nuclear power plants and in defense of renewable energies

The general coordinator of IULV-CA, Diego Valderas, announced on Friday that his training will immediately launch an information campaign against nuclear power plants and in defense of renewable energies, for which a total of 100,000 diptychs will be distributed among the Andalusian population and some 10,000 posters will be hung throughout the territory.

This was announced at a press conference, in which he was accompanied by the Secretary of Organization of IULV-CA, José Luis Pérez Tapias, and by the Deputy Secretary General of the PCA, Juan de Dios Villanueva. Valderas explained that this initiative arises after the Plenary of the Parliament expressed this Thursday its rejection of the construction of nuclear power plants in Andalusia, within the framework of a non-law proposal presented by IULV-CA.

In this line, the leader of the left formation has also advanced that IULV-CA will present a motion in town halls and councils to claim an Andalusia free of nuclear energy and support for renewable energies. The aim of all this is to open a deep debate in society, "after it has been shown that nuclear energy is more expensive and poses a risk to life."

Finally, Valderas has assured that all these proposals that will be included both in the information provided to citizens and in the motion that is presented in town halls and councils, will also be part of the electoral programs of the formation for both municipal and regional elections.
