The General Assembly of the High Enthalpy Geothermal Section of the Association of Renewable Energy Producers (APPA) has appointed Rubén González Cereijo as its new president for the next four years.
The new president shows in a statement his confidence that this energy source will experience an important development and warns that "geothermal energy of high enthalpy is at the most relevant turning point in its history in Spain."
"With a favorable regulatory and remuneration scenario, we would be able to value the immense resources that exist under our subsoil, and for this APPA must continue to play the indispensable role of being the voice and the common forum of the sector," he says.
Born in Lugo, González holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of A Coruña and an Executive Master's Degree in Business Administration from ICADE. For three years he has been responsible for geothermal energy of the Galician energy group Norvento.
Throughout his professional career González Cereijo has worked in the development and management of engineering projects in various companies, such as the Idom Group, mainly in the fields of energy efficiency and renewable energies. (EUROPA PRESS)
