Chinese Student Crosses River With Raft Made of Recycled Paper

 

In an effort to raise awareness about paper recycling, Wang Luyao, a junior at the School of Business Service in Wuhan, China, has built a perfectly functional rowing raft using nothing but sheets of recycled paper. The boat was used by the students to cross from one side of the Hanjiang River to the other.

Escorted by two regular canoes, the young student traveled a distance of 800 meters in just seven minutes, proving that recycled paper boats are a practical solution to many environmental problems.
