In some countries, new construction systems are being implemented aimed at reducing energy consumption and respecting the environment.
It consists of passing before entering the house, part of the fresh air renewed through pipes buried in the ground at a depth of approximately 1 to 2 meters. In winter, the soil at this depth is warmer than the outside temperature: the cold air is previously heated during its passage through the pipes. With this system, the air sucked in by the ventilation system is not taken directly from the outside (through the window vents), resulting in heating savings. In summer, conversely, the soil is colder than the outside temperature: in that case the relative freshness of the soil is used to temper the air entering the house. The renewal of fresh air necessary for the safety of buildings and our own health is a major source of heat loss in our homes. Once the house is well insulated thermally, even with thermal insulators, it is estimated that the losses from ventilation is 20 to 30%. The introduction of cold air through a simple flow of ventilation systems even if it is used in periods of a few seconds, results in energy losses that our current and future homes can no longer afford, especially if we want to achieve a low habitat in energy consumption and preserve as much as possible the possible energy needs.
