Colombia. At the end of March 2017, Setri Sustentabilidad SAS (Founding Member of the Colombian Council of Sustainable Construction), achieved the first LEED sustainable construction certification in Colombia for its corporate offices using the new version 4 of this system.
This distinction, as an existing building (EBOM) and at the Gold level, was achieved within the framework of the LEED Program in Colombia and, significantly, using the aforementioned new version 4 of this tool for the application and verification of sustainability strategies for real estate projects. Setri's offices implemented policies of maintenance, renovation, sustainable purchasing and green cleaning and incorporated lighting control strategies, natural ventilation and mechanical ventilation, as part of the process called Retro Commissioning (RCx).
With this novelty, as of March 31, 2017, Colombia has 98 real estate projects certified in sustainable construction with LEED® and 239 in process from +200 different investors. They total 6.2 million m2 and represent $23 billion pesos in investments in 44 cities and 22 departments of Colombia.
