International. A recent report prepared for the U.S. Department of Energy by Navigant Consulting identified and evaluated 17 technologies that could potentially replace traditional vapor compression technology in residential and commercial HVAC applications.
While twenty-two technology options were considered, only standalone technologies were evaluated rather than those that are components of space-conditioned systems.
