Panama. In the town of Cerro Punta, a plant with a cold room is under construction where the legumes and vegetables produced will be stored and which will be near the collection center currently built by the national government.
The area where the plant is being installed is more than 1,000 square meters and is expected to be completed by the end of this year. This place will allow the handling of products such as potatoes, lettuce, carrots, among others that need the cold chain to stay in optimal conditions.
As reported by the newspaper La Prensa, the plant could manage 10 containers and 300 tons per week of the different products for the consumption of the population.
