The reconstruction of the Mineirão stadium, the stadium of the Belo Horizonte headquarters, is being carried out under green parameters such as the reuse of debris, the use of solar energy, the reuse of debris, irrigation with rainwater and low electricity consumption. In addition, a recycling of concrete, metal and earth is being carried out.
Some 6,000 cubic meters of water are reused in the works of the Mineirão, enough volume for the toilets, as well as to irrigate the field and gardens. In addition, photovoltaic cells were deployed on the roof to capture solar energy and generate 1.6 megawatts of electrical energy.
