Spain. A new intelligent air conditioning system was installed in a town hall in the city of Cartagena, specifically in the administrative building of the city council, with which it seeks to reduce the use of electrical energy.
The technology allows the sectorization of the air conditioning system by zones and workstations, which will be activated individually through the intranet.
Therefore, workers, through their computer and using the local network, will activate each of the sectorized equipment that integrates the air conditioning system: a total of 430 independent air outlets connected to 9 machines, and you can select two temperature levels: 24 degrees or 26 degrees Celsius.
The operation of the air conditioning system will be limited by schedules, that is, between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
The system will thus allow greater control over the use of appliances, in this case air conditioning, which will not be activated in those positions where municipal employees are on vacation or leave. Thus, consumption will be linked at all times to the number of municipal workers who are in the building.
