Daikin presents its new products in Panama

Daikin

Panama. The Japanese multinational carried out the launch of the latest generation refrigerant R32, as well as the Mini Split FTKM, a high-end equipment for residential use.

The refrigerant R-32 has a global warming potential (GWP) three times lower than R-410A, which is one of the most widely used products. In addition, it is more affordable, efficient and easier to recycle, offering higher yields, of approximately 4% in cold and 5% in heating, essentially because it has higher thermal conductivity than R-410A.

"Daikin was the first company to introduce R-32 residential air conditioners and heat pumps globally. Since 2012, we have sold more than 21 million R-32 residential units worldwide. R-32 enables homeowners and building owners to achieve reduced climate impact, superior performance and operational savings," said Martha Gabriela Neret, Product Marketing Manager at Daikin.

The FTKM Series
The company also announced the release of the FTKM Mini Splits, which run on R32 refrigerant and feature patented Streamer discharge technology, as well as interchangeable panels of five different colors.

Daikin highlighted that the engineering design of its FTKM series allows its Mini Splits to achieve a SEER greater than 22, which is 24% higher than what current 5-star SEER requirements demand.
