Chile. Bluetek Global and Electrolux donated air conditioning equipment and air purifiers to the Presidente Riesco Errázuriz school, located in Maipú, in the context of the "International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies".
Bluetek Global was conceived as an idea in 2015 and was officially born in 2016, thanks to the vision of Patricio Abusleme and Rubén Klein, who aimed to "improve the quality of life of people, through the purification and treatment of the air".
As their website describes, they are lovers of our planet and nature who "began the development of clean and innovative technologies that purify the air of environments and indoor spaces. We manufacture smart, easy-to-use devices that contribute to the care of our environment, improving people's health and quality of life."
Clear air for children
According to the Chilean newspaper El Mostrador, Rodrigo Cerda, director of the Institute of the Environment (IDMA) indicated that the Metropolitan Region, where Maipú is located, is the most populated place in Chile, where the activities of the development of the city, such as the automotive and industrial park have contributed to the development of diseases at the respiratory level, which have affected thousands of children and older adults with greater incidence.
That is why, along with the delivery of equipment made by Bluetek Global and Electrolux, a pedagogical day was also held for the 250 students of the Presidente Riesco Errázuriz school.
In that sense, Sonia Correa, director of the Presidente Riesco Errázuriz school, commented on the activities carried out: "For us as an educational establishment, activities like these are fundamental for our students, because we are implanting the seed so that in them the interest to take care of the planet germinates and they are the agent of change."
Now, the founders of Bluetek Global, gave their opinions on the event: "Under the purpose we have, which is ambitious, to be able to deliver clean air in any enclosed space, education in children is important to demonstrate that respect for the environment is fundamental for any stage of our lives."
