Mexico. Danfoss Mexico announced the seminar on technological solutions to reduce energy consumption in Data Centers, focused on cooling systems with ice water plant.
The event that will take place on July 9 in partnership with Mecalor, AMERIC and ICREA, seeks to guide on issues such as Danfoss solutions, help continuous improvement, contribute to hydronic balancing and control with AB-QM valves, implementation of Turbocor magnetic compressors in ice water generating units and harmonic control solution; this allows maximum efficiency in data centers, as well as the testimonies of users who have implemented new technologies and innovative solutions and who today are a benchmark in the sector.
"We work to share the necessary tools that allow our business partners to strengthen their companies, increase their professional skills and increase their economy," said Felipe Guerra, DBL District Energy and Buildings at Danfoss Mexico, who added that electric power is the key to all operations that are carried out in the data centers. Without reliable power, any type of infrastructure could not work. The design of solutions and strategic planning of the technology will allow to extend the useful life of the Data Center and establish orderly forms of growth".
About 5% of global energy consumption comes from electronic products, this number is projected to reach 40% by 2030, except for major advances in the energy consumption of electronic products. The information and communication technology (ICT) sector predicts that by 2025 they will use 20% of global electricity, and emit 5.5% of all carbon emissions, which could reach 14% by 2040, from internet-connected devices, high-resolution photos, emails, streaming videos, mobile phones, etc.
"Data centers today consume more than 2% of all global electricity, and the figure is projected to reach 6% of the world's energy by 2025," explained Felipe Guerra.
