International. A cooperation agreement was signed between Armacell and smartMELAMINE, a joint venture between the German group TIKT and the Slovenian company Melamine d.d.
As part of the recently announced agreement, Armacell will specify and market smartMELAMINE, made from melamine resin. This high-performance material meets several requirements: it is resistant to flames and UV rays and does not burn, melt or shrink, making it an excellent thermal and acoustic insulator to satisfy the transportation industry.
"We are delighted to expand our best range of sound and thermal insulation products and solutions for high temperature applications. For customers who require the ideal combination of thermal and acoustic insulation, melamine-based nonwoven is the perfect solution," says Bart Janssen, Vice President of Engineering Foams at Armacell.
For his part, Damjan Murn, Managing Director of smartMELAMINE, reinforces that "through this partnership, we have benefited from the experience of Armacell's global sales network, taking an important step in the expansion of the company".
The agreement initially has a duration of two years, but with many possibilities of extension. The parties agreed not to disclose the commercial terms of the partnership.
