Central America. Recently, a collaboration agreement has been signed for the promotion and development of green energies in the geographical areas in which the Central American Bank for Economic Integration works – CABEI in the firm also participated the Consortium for the International Promotion of the Spanish Renewable Energy Industry – Spain Renewable Energy Consortium.
CABEI, whose objective is to promote economic integration and balanced economic and social development of the Central American region, will have the experience and knowledge of the Spain Renewable Energy Consortium for the development of projects related to clean energy infrastructures, both generation and transmission, and energy efficiency. It will also support the training of officials and technicians in the region.
Therefore, the Spain Renewable Energy Consortium, which counts among its members large companies that operate the global energy market, will work for the development of strategies that increase the number of projects with green energy and energy efficiency, in the geographical scope covered by CABEI, and that it will result in greater social, economic and environmental well-being of these countries.
For the Spanish institution, this agreement with CABEI is highly positive since it represents an important support for the effort it is making in the promotion of the renewable energy industry in the Latin American region, an agreement that begins to bear fruit with the open talks between both institutions for the first two projects: in the fields of electricity generation in government buildings with solar panels (roof-tops); and in the field of network interconnection between Central American countries.
