Bacharach updated its refrigerant management software for supermarkets

International. Bacharach, manufacturer of refrigerant gas and combustion analysis, announces a new launch to the Parasense platform to meet the requirements for refrigerant management. The new version provides users with an optimized regulation workflow that enables clear compliance with EPA 608 requirements for 2019, as well as CARB and F-Gas regulations.

The latest version of the Parasense platform combines a set of user tools with compliance calendar, automated leak rate calculator, intuitive analysis, guided data entry, and compliance reporting features. This update provides a detailed and robust record of refrigerant usage, leak rates, repairs, revised equipment thresholds, repair/recall/retrofit time frames, and other requirements that ensure continued compliance with legislation for equipment owners.

Failure to comply with regulatory legislation can cost more than $37,500 per day, per violation of EPA fines. Regulation workflow updates within the Parasense platform allow those who have the responsibility to comply with the rules to feel calmer by automatically scheduling future tasks and ensuring that all required information is entered when creating records.

Adam Marsh, Product Manager at Parasense, explains: "The development of the regulation workflow has been a fundamental evolution of the Parasense platform, and refrigerant compliance in general. The workflow has been carefully designed to turn regulations into clear specific processes, procedures and tasks that are easy to understand and follow. All users are guided through the same correct procedure and all compliance tasks are scheduled automatically. This provides complete visibility into regulatory compliance. The workflow clearly identifies any future actions, with ample opportunity for planning and collaboration between teams to ensure compliance with the new requirements of the 2019 regulation for EPA Section 608 or any other refrigerant regulation."

Refrigerant leaks and emissions have a broad and costly impact on organizations. The cost of replacing the refrigerant itself, loss of product and service, increased energy consumption, negative environmental impacts, and safety implications are the common consequences of refrigerant leaks. Adam continues, "The integration of leak detection with the Parasense platform provides the opportunity for fast response times. This enables engineering, refrigerant and maintenance managers to achieve the highest operational performance with the lowest emissions and operating costs of the equipment. Bacharach is the only company to offer both 1PPM leak detection hardware and the world's leading enterprise software dedicated to compliance and refrigerant management."

In addition to the regulation workflow update, the Parasense platform has improved the user interface, providing a clean and crisp design for users to easily navigate refrigerant management in one place. The Parasense platform replaces the multi-spreadsheet paradigm, to help equipment owners and contractors collaborate to reduce refrigerant emissions and ensure regulatory compliance. The Parasense platform guarantees secure access anytime, anywhere by any registered user.
