Chile. Recently, the labor certification ceremony was held for 38 workers of the Chilean Navy who were evaluated by the certification center of the Chilean Chamber of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning seeking to reduce the negative impact that refrigerant gases have on the ozone layer.
These certifications are in addition to a hundred completed in May of this year co-financed through the Microcapital Subsidy Agreement signed between the Ministry of the Environment and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), so that technicians can evaluate and certify their work skills in ChileValora profiles related to refrigeration and air conditioning.
The evaluations and certifications were carried out by the FríoCalor center, belonging to the Chilean Chamber of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning and accredited by ChileValora, a public institution that works to strengthen the skills of workers in the sector, regardless of the educational level, in order to enhance their labor mobility, as well as contributing to the improvement of the productivity of companies and the country.
Francisco Silva, executive secretary of ChileValora stressed that "the certification of competencies allows the State of Chile to formally recognize that a worker knows how to do his job correctly, this not only allows reversing the informal learning of this knowledge, but also promotes safer operations and greater productivity of the industry."
