International. On the occasion of Midea's 50th anniversary celebration, midea Group's Midea Residential Air Conditioner Division (RAC) launched a new microclimatic management device "AirX" and has announced the Edge Interaction Intelligence (EII) specification standard together with Qualcomm at IFA2018, Berlin (Germany).
Air X has received the Product Technical Innovation Award for its new concept of indoor climate adjustment and environmental simulation.
This new air conditioner features the most sophisticated room air quality control system, offering guests intuitive control of the room's air quality in various aspects. It is the world's first device that adjusts temperature, humidity, airflow, cleanliness and coolness in a group to offer users the most comfortable indoor experience. With double air vents, breezeless mode gets a pleasant windy feel. The fresh air intake from the outside allows to simulate the natural air and offer customers the most comfortable and personalized experience of fresh air in the home.
On the other hand, thanks to the microclimatic simulation system, Air X can make those five different air properties interact as a group, so that users can enjoy breathing the fresh air of New York's Central Park or listening to the sound of the sea.
Midea has also announced the Edge Interaction Intelligence (EII) specification along with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. As an extension of Midea's M-Smart specification, the EII standard is designed to be compatible with different categories of smart home device communication without the need to use the Internet. Not only will it be compatible with Midea appliances, but it will also be able to work with different brands and categories.
AirX, as the world's first microclimatic home air conditioner, is expected to prove its far-reaching effectiveness when it hits the market. Thanks to IBD and other smart technologies, Midea will not only improve consumers' indoor air experience, but will also play a positive role in improving the air conditioning industry, entering a smarter and more enjoyable era.
