International. Danfoss has recently announced the launch of its new EVR v2 solenoid valves, which complete the improvements introduced in its range of EVR valves over the past year.
Its enhancement and rationalization now allow the valves to accept a higher refrigerant pressure and a wider range of applications, while reducing the number of references, stock and repair time.
Among the most remarkable advantages for professionals are its lower application and operating costs without compromising reliability in all applications, from cold rooms to chillers and heat pumps, to give some examples. Thanks to Danfoss' expertise and solutions, it is possible to reduce energy consumption by up to 50%.
Higher opening differential pressure and new functions compatible with modern refrigerants
The range of EVR solenoid valves are present in a wide variety of air conditioning and refrigeration applications, such as large cold rooms, display freezers and refrigerators, as well as chillers, rooftop equipment or for high density spaces (close control). Ten key features have been applied to improve design robustness in more applications, increase functionality, and facilitate repairs.
In air conditioning, the same EVR solenoid valve model, designed to withstand a higher maximum operating pressure of up to 45 bar, is compatible with higher pressure refrigerants such as R-410A and is valid for heat pumps or chillers operating at room temperature (up to 130°C for bypass and hot gas defrosting) for the maximum load. Their approval is planned in 2018 so that they can be used in other slightly flammable and flammable refrigerants in larger chillers.
In refrigeration, this platform is approved for refrigerants with a lower global warming potential, such as R-290 (propane). The solenoid's watertight closures protect the system and food, as well as improve flow to increase efficiency. At the liquid line, tightness prevents the coolant from flowing back into the compression section.
