Costa Rica. The second version of the National Congress of Air Conditioning Refricon 2018 was held in the city of San José, an event organized by the company Refrimundo and held on March 10.
Through a select group of four high-level speakers and accompanied by 10 information stands, the more than 110 attendees managed to culminate a day full of ideas, recommendations and valuable information on trends in refrigerant equipment, regulations and technology, certifications, solutions, and many more topics that define the now and the future of the sector.
In this way we had the presentation of the Engineer William Sánchez, about Big Data & Internet of Things; on the other hand, engineer Paola Osorio made her presentation of Connected Homes & Buildings. On the subject of energy efficiency, the specialist Agustín Rodríguez, Consulting Engineer gave us a conference on Refrigeration and Efficient Air Conditioning and its impact on electricity consumption.
Expanding on what the country does and its environment, the event was attended by the Institute of Technical Standards of Costa Rica, INTECO, represented by Mr. Diego Cordero, who clarified the work of this body, about the legal framework of this system, how standardization works, the difference between technical standards and technical regulations, among other aspects.
At the end of the day, Master Michael LaGiglia, Senior Manager of International Affairs at AHRI, shared his talk about AHRI and its certifying processes for air conditioning.
It is expected that by the end of this year Refrimundo will be able to bring this event to its customers in Nicaragua, in conjunction with marena and the Association of Technicians of Nicaragua, as a contribution to the knowledge of the Air Conditioning market in this country. From now on, Refrimundo is preparing in the third edition for the year 2019, with the idea of continuing to make this contribution to Costa Rican society.
