International. Johnson Controls and AtmosAir Solutions, a company specializing in indoor air quality, will allow Johnson Controls to provide excellent air purification performance in its York air handling systems.
"We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Johnson Controls," said Steve Levine, president and CEO of Clean Air Group, Inc., which manufactures the AtmosAir Solutions product line. "There has been so much recent press and research on the negative impact that poor indoor air quality has on people's health and well-being. We look forward to working together with our partners at JCI to improve people, buildings and businesses. We believe that with JCI's leadership, the AtmosAir product line will be able to address the need for improved indoor air quality around the world."
JCI will design and manufacture AtmosAir air purification as a standard option within its York air handling systems. The improved system will provide highly efficient and chemical-free air purification, providing healthy indoor air quality. AtmosAir purification systems generate bipolar ions that are transported into the space where people live, work and play to significantly reduce harmful particles, volatile organic compounds, allergens, mold, odors, bacteria and viruses. AtmosAir technology is a sustainable solution as it actively improves indoor air quality that allows buildings to reduce outdoor air according to ASHRAE's IAQ 62.1 procedure, saving energy and operating costs.
"AtmosAir's bipolar ionization products reinforce our growth strategy to provide innovative factory-integrated IAQ solutions in the York® family of air treatment products. AtmosAir is the manufacturer of air purification with bipolar ionization technology. We look forward to future opportunities to deliver this IAQ solution to our customers," said Rob Tanner, director of air handling systems marketing at Johnson Controls.
