Colombia. On June 23, the Colombian Council for Sustainable Construction will hold a regional discussion on the guide for saving water and energy and how to identify the challenges and opportunities of Resolution 549/15.
The discussion will be held in the city of Medellín (EIA University headquarters of Zúñiga). This guide aims to offer a tool to designers and builders in the selection of measures to reduce the demand for these resources in new buildings according to their use and the climatic conditions of the region in which it is built.
The resolution is mandatory for the cities of Barranquilla, Bogotá, Cali and Medellín since last August 2016, and from August 2017 it will be applicable for the rest of that country.
