International. LonMark International, an international association recognized for the certification, education and promotion of interoperability standards for control networks, announced the winners of its 2016 "Best of the Year" award.
Categories and winners for 2016 include:
- Multi-Supplier Project of the Year (large): The ISDE-based lighting control system and energy management was used to upgrade 35 buildings on three campuses of the University of Alcalá in Madrid.
- Multi-Vendor (Small Repeatable) Project of the Year: Flashnet's intellLIGHT remote management solution is being recognized for the Dubai Water Canal project. The inteliLIGHT lighting control system provides continuous communication, safe operation, real-time system feedback and control.
- Certified Product of the Year: The Osram SLC Luminaire Controller is an integrated control and monitoring device for outdoor lighting applications, such as street lighting, parking, park or tunnel. The luminaire is recognized for using the LonWorks communication standard on power lines (PLC).
- Visionary of the Year: Earl Grey, Honeywell, in recognition of his leadership and commitment. Earl has served on LonMark's Board of Directors for over 12 years and has contributed to the organization's success in countless ways. Initially as an integrator, and subsequently as a salesperson, Earl has provided the organization with leadership, initiative and ongoing support. We are proud to recognize their many years of service and support.
