International. Panasonic confirmed that it will begin to introduce air conditioning systems that will use the refrigerant gas R32 to the European market. The company had previously presented its new models with this refrigerant and will now begin its inclusion on the market.
Last September the company already launched in the Nordic market the new VZ range with this type of refrigerant with an efficiency A+++ / A+++.
The company adapted to regulation (EU) 517/2014 of the European Parliament on fluorinated greenhouse gases that came into operation since June 9, 2014, and which seeks to increase the protection of the environment through measures that progressively reduce emissions of fluorinated gases from air conditioning technologies, among others. For that reason, the regulation encouraged the implementation of R32 as an alternative gas that has a low level of global global warming potential.
R32, as reported by Panasonic, has a global warming potential (GWP) of 675, very low compared to the GWP of 2,088 of the refrigerant R410A, it is also a gas 10% more efficient and works with better performance in extreme indoor temperature conditions. R32 is classified as an A2L refrigerant, which means it has a low risk of toxicity (A) and flammability (2L) accidents.
