Mexico. A new cold chain distribution center was recently opened by the company Frialsa Frigoríficos after an investment of US$20 million.
The center, located in Tepeji del Río, Hidalgo, is already known as one of the largest in that country and the Latin American region, since it has an area of 27,000 square meters, capacity for 30,000 positions-platforms that will be able to store from 28,000 to 30,000 tons of frozen or refrigerated products, with an annual rotation of approximately 600,000 tons.
With the creation of this new space, company spokespersons assured that 150 direct jobs and more than 400 indirect jobs will be generated.
The company thus completes its 22nd distribution center throughout the country, to total 250,000 positions-platform, of which fifteen centers already have the Federal Inspection Type certification.
