Brazil. The Brazilian company Full Gauge Controls announced the investment of approximately US$160,000 in a motor generator set (GMC), more than two years ago, so that no external factor, such as the lack of electricity, would affect its commitment to delivery times.
The equipment was manufactured by Stemac and has Scania engine model DC16, WEG generator of 635 KWA and is sized to work at full load whenever there is a lack of power. Noise attenuators of 85 db (A) @ 1.5 m were installed to minimize the external noise generated during its operation.
"Currently our demand corresponds to 48% of its capacity and, even with the expansion of the factory, the GMC will continue to meet it comfortably," explains director Flavio Perguer.
According to director Antonio Gobbi, the investment was a priority to maintain Full Gauge Controls' policy of eliminating any external factor that represents the slightest threat to the correct fulfillment of delivery deadlines. "As we have stock of raw material to guarantee future production for eight months, we avoid possible delays due to lack of raw material or problems in maritime transport. In the case of the generator, as in several other aspects of the company, we anticipate possible problems, instead of waiting for them to arrive and then solve them," Emphasizes Gobbi.
