United States. The 2015 AHR Expo claimed the title as the busiest event ever held in Chicago. Preliminary figures for the world's largest HVAC/R market show that more than 61,000 people, including 42,400 visitors, participated in the event which was held on January 26-28, at McCormick Place.
According to Clay Stevens, president of the International Exhibition Company, five records were shattered by the success of the 2015 event in Chicago:
- Total number of registered attendees – 61,990
- Number of visitors – 42,400
- Net square feet - more than 480,000
- Number of exhibiting companies - more than 2,100
- Number of international exhibitors – 592
"Chicago is home to some of our biggest shows and we're thrilled to have gotten so many new records this year," Stevens said. "These results also show how vital the AHR Expo is for the industry. We have had great support from the 41 sponsors and associations involved, as well as from our exhibitors who were confident of introducing their new products and satisfying current and potential customers around the world."
AHR Expo receives approval from 39 major HVAC/R industry associations and is co-sponsored by ASHRAE and AHRI.
In 2016, the AHR Expo will be held January 25-27 in Orlando, Florida.
