International. The company specialized in flexible insulation, Armacell, South America division, reported double-digit growth in sales compared to 2013, in addition, it reported that during this year it increased its presence in the different markets in which it operates, increasing its product portfolio and improving the level of service of its customers.
"It has been a year of great expansion and consolidation of the Armacell business, thanks to the work we have done to increase our presence in many HVAC/R markets and expand our geographic penetration," said Marcio Nieble, CEO of Armacell South America.
One of the factors that contributed to the good performance of the company was its work together with the works that try to obtain the certifications related to sustainable construction, for which Armacell's thermal insulation systems are adapted.
"Our products contribute to the energy efficiency of refrigeration and air conditioning installations, have greater durability and are easier to install, thanks to their advanced features. Thus, they have been used in a large number of certified operations," Nieble said, noting that the World Cup was a great showcase for the company, which provided thermal insulation systems for eight of the stadiums used in the tournament.
Participation in events such as Febrava Noreste, Climario and Greenbuilding was another of the strengths of the year. "Events like these enabled new business, demonstrated the technological advantages of our products, and strengthened our brand."
Finally, the outlook for next year at the company is positive but challenging, according to Nieble. "2015 will be a complex year in which the economy will undergo a series of adjustments and moderate growth. Armacell is also ready to grow in 2015," he concluded.
