United States. With the goal of strengthening its presence in the smart home market, Samsung Electronics confirmed the acquisition of Quietside LLC, a U.S. distributor specializing in air conditioning.
With this negotiation, the South Korean company completes two recent acquisitions, having previously purchased an application development platform to control, observe and automate home devices called SmartThings.
"Because air conditioning products are a necessity in every building, including homes and offices, this acquisition is expected to help our future smart home business," samsung Electronics' statement reads.
